Song of the Week

Since this week is Valentine’s day, I decided to put a song about love, so, it only makes sense to post the song Crazy Love by Hawk Nelson. This song is about how God is in crazy love with us and how the world just dosn’t understand. It is also based off of the book Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Have a good Valentine’s day everyone!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jFlW_j4G1A

Song of the Week

This weeks song is Breakfast by Newsboys. This song is bascially about someone dying. When you die you get to go to one of two places, heaven or hell. If you go to hell, you don’t get the fun stuff that you enjoy on earth, such as breakfast. BUT, in hevan you will! Along with this the song has some funny refrences to the breakfast club and different type of breakfast foods so it is a lot of fun. So stop reading this and listen to this song!!-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSl5Yi3luGo

Home Study February 13th through 18th

Monday – Read Psalm 66:18, Isaiah 59:1-2 and Proverbs 28:9

What do these verses tell us about the damage that unforgiven sin does to our relationship with God?

What can we do when we realize that we have unforgiven sin in our lives?

Invite the Holy Spirit to reveal if there is any unforgiven sin in your life so you may confess it and be forgiven and cleansed.

Tuesday – Read I Corinthians 6:9-11

Why will those who remain in sin no inherit the kingdom of God?

Why do we humans try to make exceptions to this truth?

What is the only way that we will inherit God’s kingdom?

Invite God to do His sanctifying work in you.

Wednesday – Read II Thessalonians 2:13-17

What is Jesus’ part in our continuing process of sanctification?

Although sanctification is a work of God, what are we called to do here as we live for Him?

How does this passage encourage you?

How does it challenge you? How will you respond?

Thursday – Read Philippians 1:3-11

What did Paul pray that would enable believers to continue growing in Jesus?

Are you encourage to know that God is continuing the good work that He began in you?

What do you sense God wants to do in you in these days?

How will you respond?

Friday – Read Romans 12:1-2

How does living as living sacrifices and having our minds transformed by the Holy Spirit help us to know God’s will?

What does it mean to be a “living sacrifice?”

How is God challenging you with this passage?

How will you respond?

Saturday – Read I Thessalonians 5:25-28
