Monday – Read I Thessalonians 1:2-10

As you read verse 3, what was the motivation behind the work the Thessalonian believers did in God’s kingdom?

Why are these three things, faith, love and hope so powerful?

According to verse 10, how radical of a transformation did these believers experience when they came to faith in Jesus?

What hope does this give you?

 

Tuesday – Read James 2:14-17

Which must come first, faith or works? Why?

How do our works demonstrate our faith?

How does this passage challenge you?

How will you respond?

 

Wednesday – Read I Thessalonians 4:11-12

How can our life style give testimony to Jesus in our heart?

Why is this important?

How can we live in a way that gives glory to Jesus?

What is Jesus saying to you? How will you respond?

 

Thursday – Read I Timothy 2:1-4

According to verse four, what is God’s desire for all people?

According to this passage, what are some things we can do to help other people to see Jesus?

Why does such a lifestyle please God?

How is Jesus challenging you? How will you respond?

 

Friday – Read Colossians 4:2-6

Why is it important to pray and watch as we seek to proclaim the gospel of Jesus to people who do not know Him?

What does Paul mean when he says to be wise in the way we act?

How can we speak in grace, with our words seasoned with salt?

How is Jesus challenging you? What will you do?

May Youth News

Third Day Concert– Lithia Amphitheater on Saturday the 5th at 7pm. Meet at MFC at 6:30 for a ride. Tickets are available at Evangel.

Jon Micah Sumrall– Lead singer of Kutless will be at Table Rock Fellowship on the 14th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door. The concert is a benefit concert for Dominik Roby.

Souther Oregon Impact Concert-Paul Wright and Ryan Stevenson will be at Medford First Nazarene Church on the 18th at 7p.m. Tickets cost $10 at Evangel.

Girl's Nite In The Word-This month's topic is divorce/blending families. Takes place on Sunday the 6th at 6-8:30 p.m.

Camp Auction– If you are going to camp this year or joining the Mexico Missions trip this year, you will want to sign up for camp auction to earn a scholarship for either event. This will take place on Wednesday the 16th. You may also donate items even if you are not going to camp or  Mexico.

Yard Sale– The Mexico Missions team will be having a yard sale to raise money to build a house for a family in Mexico. you may donate saleable items or come and buy from the sale. The yard sale in April raised over $500. Thanks to everyone who helped!

Song Of The Week

It has been awhile since I have posted a song and I apologize but the month of April is a busy month for me. Anyhoo, despite my lack of punctuality, I still have a really fun song this week. This last week the weather has been nice and this weekend is going to be really nice too so this song, The Best Night Of Our Lives by Everyday Sunday is an awsome song to blast out  while enjoying this nice weather. Monday – Read Psalm 139:1-4

How completely does God know us?

Why is God able to know us so completely and completely love us?

How does that make you feel?

What do you want to say to Him?

 

Tuesday – Read Ephesians 2:1-10

According to verse 4, what compelled God to make it possible for us to find forgiveness and life through faith in Jesus?

How complete is God’s mercy?  

What does this tell us about the mercy we should extend to others?

What do you need to better show God’s mercy?

Ask God to grow His mercy in you.

 

Wednesday – Read Daniel 2:17-23

What threat was facing Daniel and his friends?

What did they do?

In Daniel’s prayer of praise for God’s answer, what does he tell us in verse 21?

What does this truth mean for us today?

 

Thursday – Read Job 1:20-22

This is Job’s response to the first losses that he experienced, why was it important for him to recognize that it is the Lord who gives us all that we have and that the Lord can take it from us?

Is this still true for us?

How does knowing that God loves us give us hope even in the face of this truth?

What is Jesus saying to you? How will you respond?
